Job Title: Account Executive (Sales) - West
Job Summary
This role will work with new and current customers to develop transportation solutions in LTL, Truckload, and international supply chains.

You Want to Do This
- Develop and implement outbound sales and business development strategy, sales processes, structure, and best practices across the company.
- Help create and prioritize strategic target account lists within a defined territory/industry.
- Generate new leads, identify and contact decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities, and populate a sales tracker.
- Research and build new and existing accounts (adding new leads/contacts, sending emails, and strategic cold calling).
- Conduct cold-calling and warm-calling campaigns.
- Maintain pipeline call tracker for weekly reporting in Sales pipeline meetings.
- Conduct high-level conversations with Senior Executives on prospective accounts.
- Mine, validate, and close leads coming into FMi from website enquiries.
- Set up a new client onboarding meeting with the assigned operations team to “hand off” the client.
- Achieve monthly quotas of qualified opportunities and close ratios.
- Manage proposal response process, including detailed RFP requirements and content creation with inputs from various internal and external sources.
You Know & Have These Things Already
- In your career, you have been a solid sales performer with at least 3+ years of a successful sales track record.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, or a related field (equivalent work experience may be considered).
- You have completed sales training, and familiarity with CRM systems is advantageous.
- You have specific Transportation, Logistics, or other Freight – Supply chain education & knowledge is considered of great value and is directly linked to compensation.
- You are good with clients and vendors/partners alike.
- You are good at generating new leads through calling and email campaigns.
- You have relevant experience in Logistics, Supply Chain and Transportation Management
- You have experience in Social Media Marketing skills and PowerPoint presentations.
- You have very strong client-focused service skills, and you are driven to help develop new business while working on relationships.
- You have experience in building and nurturing a Sales Pipeline.
- You are an innovative thinker and able to produce new and useful ideas.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communications.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- The location may be based in Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver or Manitoba.
- Must have Reliable transportation & a Driver’s license.
- This is a Hybrid role (in-person and /or remotely with some in-office days), depending on the Candidate's location.
- Be able to work remotely with the support of the Western Freight Team.
